Driven by our vision Learning for All, the CQSB is offering the opportunity to gain hands-on experiential learning in a stimulating and vibrant school community. Working alongside our dedicated team members, our interns are supported by a robust training and mentorship program where they can apply the theories and strategies learned. Most importantly, the experience will provide a range of valuable confidence-building attributes essential for entering the workforce upon graduation.
We are now accepting applications for student internships for the fields of teaching, support staff, and professionals in all our regions: Québec, Saguenay, La Tuque, Chibougamau, Thetford Mines and Kawawachikamach (Shefferville).
When sending your application, please include a Cover Letter which includes the following, alongside your CV (you can only upload one file):
Student teachers will have the opportunity to interact, in actual learning environments, with students, colleagues, families, and other stakeholders in the teaching profession, all under the supervision of a host teacher.
Support staff (special education technicians) are paired up with and supervised by a mentor and will work in either a support centre or a classroom. The intern will begin by observing and learning from the mentor, and then move to applying targeted special education techniques to students with special needs.
Support staff (administrative and secretarial support) are paired up and supervised by an experienced CQSB team member in their field of expertise.
Professional interns are directly supervised by a professional and they work in schools, interacting with students and staff to carry out professional tasks.
